What a week it has been.
I have managed to get a lot of the website's revamping done and the promotions for my short stories are going rather well. I'm happy with the turn out of things so far.
Now that most of the revamping has been finished, I will be returning my focus to my writing and manga.
This week I am working on a short Romance story called "One Winter Night". This story is about two people falling in love while they sort through their inner turmoil of the future. I'm currently 2,300 words in this project.
With my new drawing pen, Boundaries is proceeding much faster than it used to. I seriously love how precise and easy on the screen this pen is. We'll see how things proceed this week.
For now, stay awesome!
This is a busy week.
This entire week I have been working on updating and changing the website. In the past couple of days I have revamped the home page, added a blog, added a new product to the store, and changed one of my sections to focus on my journey as an actor and model. Little by little, I think the website is getting better. It's not over yet, and more will be coming!
That being said, I've begun the process to promote my works. Currently I am promoting my horror short: The Doll on Instagram. It's great to see the ad getting a bit of action and I can only hope it will bring more people in. There will be more promotions for some of the other stories soon.
I've also been working on getting a lot of my acting and modeling porfolio in order. I had to go get exact measurements today and reactivate my account on LA Casting. Now I'm getting a bunch of notifications for gigs. Next is to update my profile on the site.
With my focus on the website updates and acting process, my writing and art has been a bit on the lag. On the plus side, my new drawing pen for my tablet has come in and it is so much better than the stylus I had. I am so excited to begin drawing with it!
Until next time!
So, this has been an idea for the longest time. It's been a thought basically since I first started this website nearly 2 years ago. What kept me from doing it? All that plagued my mind was, "What would I write about?"
I don't do tutorials, although maybe sometime in the future I will. I'm still learning when it comes to the writing and art world so I didn't think I should write about the industry. So what would I write about?
Well, this week, it hit me. Yeah, I may not do all the stuff above, but I'm still living a life. And although I post my updates and such on my social media, 260 characters, or however many are available on twitter, is never enough to express my full thoughts. Sometimes I won't post anything on social media because my thoughts are too extensive. There is only so much you can cut and replace with synonyms to fit the limited space twitter provides.
So why not do it here?
Here, I can freely express what's on my mind. I can talk about the stuff going on in my life and share my experiences. Even if there are times I won't have anything to share, having the option to freely do so opens a completely new world and may even create some new connections with people.
Thus, here is my brand new blog. This is where it will all culminate. With this feely open space I can present the stages and processes I'm going through with my writing, art and other projects; I can share the new things I've been I've been learning; and I can talk about the exciting and even draining news going on in my life.
Welcome to my new blog: the Dark Woods.
